Mandatory Reporter & Additional Online Training

The Child Protection Accountability Commission’s Mandatory Reporting Workgroup is responsible for developing, updating and evaluating the child abuse mandatory reporting training programs and supplemental training programs on various child welfare topics. These programs are designed for educators, medical professionals, law enforcement agencies, the Department of Justice, and general professionals. Partner agencies represented on the workgroup include: the Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families; Division of Family Services; Department of Education; Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children; Office of Child Care Licensing; Delaware State Education Association; Delaware Association of School Administrators; Department of Justice; and the Office of the Child Advocate.

To access the Mandatory Reporter training, please visit the Delaware Learning Center. Please note that OCA transitioned to this new training platform at the DLC as of October 1, 2019. Therefore, you must register as a new user if this is your first time accessing the new site.

In-person Mandatory Reporting Training is available for your organization. The 1.5-hour training is designed to help mandated reporters recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect, their legal obligations related to reporting suspected abuse and neglect, and how to make a report. Effective September 1, 2022, there will be a fee associated with all in person/virtual Mandatory Reporting Training for non-state agencies, organizations, and users. More information about the fees will be provided after the submission of the training request form.

Please submit the Training Request form to request in-person training.
