Hours of Operation


The Courthouse is open weekdays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Courthouse is handicapped accessible. If you have special needs and need help in the courthouse, please call 302-255-0476.


Public Policies


Portable Electronic Devices Pilot Program Policy
Cellular telephones and other personal electronic devices are allowed in court facilities, with restrictions, under a court pilot program.


Food and Beverage
The public is prohibited from bringing any beverage in an "open" container and/or "unsealed" plastic bottle containing consumable beverages. The public may bring food and beverages in non-glassed enclosed containers into the courthouse for consumption in the cafeteria only. No food or beverages may be consumed in any public area within the courthouse other than the cafeteria.

Weapons
Weapons are not permitted in the Courthouse. This includes pocketknives, scissors, chains on a wallet, nail files, glass containers, etc.

Directions to the Courthouse from the North
Take I-95 SOUTH
Take EXIT 7B towards Route 52/Delaware Avenue
At the light at the top of the ramp, take a LEFT onto DELAWARE AVENUE/52S
STAY LEFT at the split in the road (you will now be on 11th Street)
Turn RIGHT onto N. KING STREET
The Leonard L. Williams Justice Center will be on your left just after Sixth Street.


Directions to the Courthouse from the South
Take I-95 NORTH
TAKE the MARYLAND AVENUE/SR-4 exit - exit number 6 - towards MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD.
Stay straight to go onto S. ADAMS STREET
Turn RIGHT onto W. 4TH STREET/DE-9
Turn LEFT onto N. MARKET STREET
Turn RIGHT onto EAST 6th STREET
Turn RIGHT onto N. KING STREET
