Facility Dog Request Form for Leonard L. Williams Justice Center

Delaware Capital Police patch

A courthouse facility dog is a professionally trained assistance dog that can provide quiet companionship to vulnerable individuals in legal settings without causing any disruption of the proceedings. Facility dogs are specially chosen because of their calm demeanor and are trained to work in a high-stress environment and act in an unobtrusive way to decrease the risk of creating legal issues.

Officer Vinn is our courthouse facility dog. Vinn, and his handler, help families by easing stress for adults and children alike during legal proceedings. To request the services of the facility dog, please fill out the form below.

Requests will be granted on an as-needed basis depending on the dog’s availability. The final determination will be at the discretion of the Delaware Capitol Police and the dog’s handler.
