The Delaware State Courts will be closed on Tuesday, November 5th for Election Day. Justice of the Peace Court 11 (New Castle County) and Court 7 (Kent County) will remain open 24 hours and Justice of the Peace Court 3 (Sussex County) will be open from 6AM – 12PM (no new cases after 11:00PM).

Sussex County Courts including Justice of the Peace Court 2, 4, and 17 will be closing at noon on Thursday, November 7th for Return Day. JP Court 14 will be closed the entire day due to proximity to Return Day events.

Commissioner Bradley V. Manning

The Honorable Janine M. Salomone became a Commissioner of the Superior Court on January 23, 2019.  Prior to her appointment, Commissioner Salomone spent 19 years in private practice in Wilmington, DE, most recently as a partner at the law firm of Potter Anderson & Corroon, LLP where her practice focused on advising boards of directors and officers of Delaware corporations.

Commissioner Salomone received her B.S. summa cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University in 1992, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the University Scholar’s Program, and her J.D. cum laude from The Dickinson School of Law in 1995, where she was a Senior Editor of The Dickinson Law Review and a member of the Woolsack Honor Society. Commissioner Salomone has previously served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Board of Directors of Serviam Media, Inc.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the First State Montesorri Academy and as President and a member of the Board of Directors of Profundo Bono, Inc.

Commissioner Salomone also serves as an assistant teacher for the parish religious education program (PREP) at St. Mary of the Assumption in Hockessin and is President of the Piedmont Baseball and Softball League.

 

Commissioner Salomone’s present term ends on January 23, 2023.
