Make a Donation

OCA established a donation line to provide children in foster care with the opportunity to enjoy normal childhood experiences, such as attending a field trip or camp, playing a sport, learning a musical instrument, buying a dress for prom, etc. Through the generosity of organizations and individuals, OCA has partnered with the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families to provide weeks of camp, clothing, senior pictures, sports equipment and team fees, attendance at special events, and many computers. OCA has also sent kids to educational tutoring including math and reading, music lessons, and a variety of life experiences that children should have as a part of growing up and having normal childhood experiences. Please click on the donate button to make a donation online or call (302) 255-1730 to make a donation over the phone.

Community Supporters

OCA extends its heartfelt thanks to our community supporters who have donated gifts, money and time to the children OCA represents.

Delaware Mortgage Bankers Association (DMBA)
Since 2015 the DMBA has worked diligently to raise money for the OCA donations fund primarily through their Holiday Jingle party. The funds raised at the event directly benefits children experiencing foster care by buying items and supporting experiences they would not typically be able to afford. These include things such as school trips, summer camp, laptop computers, homecoming and prom dresses, etc. With the partnership with DMBA, OCA is able to ensure that children experiencing foster care are not limited in what they can do.

Christiana Rotary Club (T.O.U.C.H. Program)
Each holiday season, the Christiana Rotary Club accepts "wish lists" from OCA's child clients, and then shops to fulfill the individual requests of each child. The program has grown each year, with over 160 children provided holiday gifts in 2012. The Rotary seeks to expand its giving by partnering with OCA to provide gifts and necessary items to children in foster care throughout the year.

You can support the Rotary's efforts by donating to the T.O.U.C.H. Program.

Eastpoint Community Church and Crossroads Presbyterian Church
For several years, the Eastpoint Community Church and the Crossroads Presbyterian Church have "adopted" some of OCA's neediest clients, and provided them with thoughtful holiday gifts according to the children's wish lists. The congregations of these churches have been extremely generous, and have expanded their giving each year, for which OCA is truly thankful.

Digital Legal
Digital Legal's courier services partnered with OCA to make it easy for OCA's volunteer attorneys to participate in the Christiana Rotary's T.O.U.C.H. Program on behalf of their child clients. Digital Legal provided pick-up and delivery of the gifts from the Rotary to the attorneys at a low price, which has been a tremendous help to OCA's busy attorneys. OCA looks forward to a continued partnership with Digital Legal as its holiday gift drive programs continue to grow.

Delaware's Law Firms & Attorneys
Morris James LLP
Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP
Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP
Richards, Layton & Finger
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates
Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP

These law firms in particular have been a wonderful resource for OCA, hosting trainings in their beautiful conference facilities so that OCA can reach more attorneys and provide both basic and advanced training on issues involved with representing children in foster care.

Countless additional law firms throughout the state also support OCA by allowing their attorneys to volunteer their time to represent children through OCA. Many of these law firms go above and beyond, often spending money to pay for collateral issues that arise during an attorney's representation, "adopting" OCA clients during the holidays and providing them with gifts, or taking on other legal issues that arise for our kids on a pro bono basis.

OCA would not be successful without the partnership and support of Delaware's law firms and attorneys. For a full list of OCA volunteer attorneys, please see our Pro Bono Honor Roll.
