The Honorable Alicia B. Howard, Commissioner
The Honorable Alicia B. Howard became a Commissioner of the Superior Court on September 26, 1994.
Prior to that, she had worked as an associate attorney with the law firms of Ashby, McKelvie & Geddes and then Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell. Thereafter, she worked as a law clerk to the Superior Court. From 1994 until summer of 1999, she also was a Commissioner to the Court of Common Pleas in Sussex County.
Commissioner Howard received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was admitted to the Delaware Bar in December, 1982.
Commissioner Howard has served on the Geriatrics' Board and the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre's Board. She has served on the Vestry of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Commissioner Howard's present term ends February 11, 2020.
