New Hire Paperwork
Welcome to the Delaware Courts
This section of our website is designed to help you get started on your employment at the Delaware Courts.
All new hire paperwork is provided below for your review and completion. Human Resources (or your supervisor) will meet with you within your first three days of employment to collect the paperwork and complete the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9. You must complete and sign Section 1 of this form no later than the first day of your employment.
Please bring your original social security card and original documents that satisfy the I-9 (either one document from List A, or one each from List B and C) to that meeting. Also, if you are planning to cover a spouse and/or child(ren) under the health care, dental, or vision plans, please bring copies of your marriage license, birth certificate, and social security card for each dependent.
Please note that direct deposit is a mandatory condition of employment, however, your first pay will be a live check mailed to your home address while your bank account and routing numbers are confirmed. Free parking is provided to all employees, including those within the City of Wilmington. A general statement of benefits is provided for your information. For detailed information about each of the benefit plans offered by the State of Delaware, please visit the Statewide Benefits Office website.
