The Delaware State Courts will be closed on Tuesday, November 5th for Election Day. Justice of the Peace Court 11 (New Castle County) and Court 7 (Kent County) will remain open 24 hours and Justice of the Peace Court 3 (Sussex County) will be open from 6AM – 12PM (no new cases after 11:00PM).
Sussex County Courts including Justice of the Peace Court 2, 4, and 17 will be closing at noon on Thursday, November 7th for Return Day. JP Court 14 will be closed the entire day due to proximity to Return Day events.

Beginning June 8, 2020, bail bondsmen should use the process in place prior to COVID-19 of submitting paperwork through e-mail to the court and someone will contact them to schedule a time they are able to come in. Also beginning June 8, 2020, data miners and media should contact the below to schedule an appointment with a one-hour time slot to enter the courthouse for research purposes.

Delaware Family Court details procedures during COVID-19 restrictions
— Family Court will continue to handle emergency requests for Protection from Abuse Orders, emergency child welfare, custody, visitation, and guardianship matters, and limited adult criminal and juvenile delinquency matters.
