Mission:
1. To implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Services for Children, Youth, and their Families (DSCYF) and the Department of Education (DOE), its school districts, and its charter schools, which focuses on the movement of children in foster care in and out of schools and the sharing of information.  In addition, a training curriculum around the MOU should be developed and available to all new persons as they come into the system;
2.

To develop a training curriculum, similar to CAN 101, to improve collaboration overall between the child welfare system and education, and ensure that it is available on an ongoing basis, including in a web-based format; and
3. To look at educational outcomes for children in foster care and explore ways to improve those outcomes.
