New County Law Library has always been open to the public during our regular office hours.
We are not a public Library but since we are located in the Courthouse and there is sufficient security we
are open to the public for legal research, during regular business hours.

The primary purpose of the New Castle County Law Library is to provide appropriate legal resources for the courts under which we serve.
We also support other legal agencies within the state such as the Attorney General Office, the Office
Of the Public Defenders, the legal community and members of the public.
Our goal is to maintain as many current and archival legal resources as possible.
At the present time we have Patron access to Westlaw, WestlawNext and Lexis Nexis.
There is no charge to use these services, however, there is a slight fee to print.
We hope to have Wi-Fi available in the Library soon.
Borrowing
Only Court personnel are allowed to borrow from the Law Library.
Computer Research
Westlaw, WestlawNext and Lexis computer legal research services are available free.
There is a slight charge to copy unless you bring your own paper.
There are no public computers available for e-mail or internet use.
Photocopying and Printing
There is a photocopier available. At a charge of 10 cents a page
