E-Filing at the Justice of the Peace Court
The Justice of the Peace Court has implemented a new policy regarding e-filing. Attached is Policy Directive 08-232 which sets forth the criteria of those required to e-file along with the Order amending Rule 79.1 allowing the Justice of the Peace Court to implement e-filing procedures. If you fall under the requirements for e-filing set for in the policy directive, you must register for an account at this website: http://courtsefile.delaware.gov/ecf/. and you must attend a training session prior to your use of the system. Click here to view the Court’s training sessions being held by the Judicial Information Center (JIC) at this time.
Payment methods when using e-filing will either require you use credit card or a court account must be established. To request a court account, you must complete and return a Court Account Application.
Minimum technical requirements do apply and can be found at http://courtsefile.delaware.gov/ecf/manual/fiGetStarted.htm. A complete users manual can be found at this website http://courtsefile.delaware.gov/ecf/manual/fiDefault.htm
